On the train back home from the Rubulad party on Saturday, I talked with Benjamin about the fact that, though there are a lot of people our age(early 20s) in our community, it seems to be that the people actually throwing the events are almost always 5 to 10 years older than us. These people took the time, years ago, to start these organizations (Flux Factory, Madagascar, Rubulad, BFC, Happy Birthday, etc.) and I feel we have a responsibility to support them AND continue the legacy by starting our own institutions. I have been thinking hard about this recently and I am going to start drafting some concrete ideas soon. I just wanted to throw that out, and hear what people think.
